Both formats compress music to save storage space. We have choosen a strong compression so that even modem users can download them.
As a result the songs do not sound as good as the original tracks. The ogg format files do sound much better than the mp3 versions.
Players for windows such as the  Winamp can play ogg files.
Players for Linux usualy can do that too.
Unfortunately hardware music players and car-hifi mostly cannot play the ogg format.
Apart, if you like the songs, you can  order a real CD. That can be played everywhere and has the full fidelity.
